Lebron James 2012 All-Star Game Sneaker

"LeBron 9 is the first Nike shoe to combine Flywire technology and Hyperfuse construction in the upper, a significant technical advancement in footwear. LeBron James, whose home state of Ohio features more astronauts than any other state, will wear a special version of the LeBron 9 that takes inspiration from the orange space suit. Orange, the most visible color to the human eye, helps identify astronauts. Functional graphics “Pull For Lockdown” are featured on the midfoot harness, while the materials are inspired by space suit textures. The midfoot harness wraps around the foot and incorporates Flywire for added strength and lock down support. LeBron’s mission patch, an honor astronauts receive from space exploration duties, is a lion shooting through space."

"Linsanity, for Asian Americans, is only partly about basketball. More significantly, it’s about that outside experience being recognized by others and, even further, evolving into inclusion. Can what happened to Lin in the NBA happen to him and other Asian American Christians in the broader American church? Can it encourage Asian American Christians to give more of their gifts and leadership to the community—and Community—at large? It sounds grandiose, insane. But, as we’ve seen the last two weeks, insanity happens."

I was inspired to design this new shirt after another incredible performance by Jeremy Lin. This one plays off the wording “I’m Going In” and has the iconic NYC pigeon. To pick up your own tee click here: “I’m Going Lin”
